Advisory Manager -- Tri-State Area

Our client, a professional services firm, is seeking to expand their Business Advisory Services team with an Advisory Manager to service the Tri-state marketplace and clients across a diverse line of industries.  The Advisory Manager is responsible for conducting and overseeing engagements as assigned in their respective market.  S/He ensures the quality of services and products provided to clients are delivered timely and effectively; supervises, coaches, and leads the professional staff assigned to their engagements. S/He will translate engagement scope into work plans describing engagement tasks, timing and responsibilities. S/He researches and consults on various internal auditing and controls and/or, forensics audit services in a wide range of industries, as well as conducts and oversees the following tasks: contract compliance, COSO-based enterprise financial risk assessments, financial reporting audits, fraud and forensic investigations, internal audit co-sourcing and outsourcing, operational audits, regulatory compliance, and Sarbanes Oxley compliance. 

Criteria for Eligible Candidates:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, internal audit, or related area 
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in the general area of internal audit and controls, and client service delivery experience preferred
  • Experience in internal controls, fraud risk management, fraud handling or litigation support is preferred
  • Certification CIA, CPA/CA CISA, CFA or equivalent, PMI, or advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years project management experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience supervising, managing, coaching or developing professionals and teams of professionals
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as electronic internal audit tools like automated workpapers, ACL, Tableau, CAATs
  • Must be able to communicate and interact effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and comprehension including facilitation and presentation skills
  • Able to meet travel requirements up to 50%
